Apparatus for Optically Directly Recording Skin Prints for Mobile Applications
Publication/Patent Number: US2021271845A1 Publication Date: 2021-09-02 Application Number: 17/278,274 Filing Date: 2019-09-17 Inventor: Riehl, Philipp   Femel, Holger   Richter, Undine   Reinhold, Joerg   Assignee: JENETRIC GmbH   IPC: G06K9/00 Abstract: An apparatus for direct optical recording of skin prints has a display below the placement surface and a light guide layer below the display. The light guide layer has light in-coupling at a narrow side and light out-coupling structures in the surface. By means of angles ε of the light out-coupling structures and differences in the refractive indices of the neighboring layers, a directed coupling out of light occurs in the direction of the placement surface causing a total internal reflection at the placement surface. The display has a transparency of at least 1% of the coupled out light. A first and second adhesion layers are between the display and the light guide layer and between the light guide layer and the sensor layer. The refractive indices of the adhesion layers are at least 1% to 30% lower than those of light guide layer, the display and the sensor layer.

Publication/Patent Number: US2021286967A1 Publication Date: 2021-09-16 Application Number: 17/277,570 Filing Date: 2019-09-17 Inventor: Hillmann, Juergen   Michalsky, Tom   Richter, Undine   Reinhold, Joerg   Riehl, Philipp   Assignee: JENETRIC GmbH   IPC: G06K9/00 Abstract: A display with integrated matrix sensor for the optical recording of the papillary structure of at least one finger (F), in which an angular diaphragm with an aperture is arranged in each instance in front of the individual sensor elements of the matrix sensor, which aperture is offset relative to the sensor element in each instance in an offset direction (RV). Because of different dimensioning of the apertures and/or different offset directions (RV), the acceptance angle of the sensor elements of the matrix sensor is also influenced in direction orthogonal to the offset directions (RV) so that the display is suitable for making a recording having an isotropic and high contrast. The invention is also directed to a method by which, using a display according to the invention with integrated matrix sensor, an initial recording is transformed into a corrected recording having an at least approximately isotropic and high contrast.
