Abstract: A multi horizontal rotor drone having a propulsion unit coupled to a payload housing by a multi-axial gimbal assembly. The centers of mass of each of these three components resides at a common point that also coincides with the pitch and roll axes (and optionally the yaw axis) of the gimbal assembly's rotational orientations. The propulsion unit has the minimal operational mass necessary while the majority of the drone's mass is located onto the payload housing. With this arrangement, the payload housing can be stabilized on its center of gravity independent of the roll, pitch and yaw changes undergoing by the propulsion unit, during the drone's flight. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a directional pixel for a high-angular resolution, wide field of view, multiple view display. The design teaches a directional pixel comprising a substrate, one or more pixel driving circuits, one or more nano- or micro-scale subpixels, and one or more directional optical guiding surfaces, wherein each of said one or more subpixels is comprised of a light emitting device emitting a light beam and an optical microcavity housing said light emitting device. The optical microcavity is comprised of a plurality of reflective surfaces to specifically manipulate and tune said light beam, wherein one or more of said reflective surfaces is a light propagating reflective surface which propagates said light beam out of said microcavity, and said light propagating reflective surface is connected to said one or more directional optical guiding surfaces to direct said light beam at a specific angle. A high-angular resolution, multiple-view light-field display is created by deploying a plurality of directional pixels into a directional pixel array system. Abstract: Presented herein are techniques that make use of objective measurements, such as acoustically-evoked inner ear responses, in the fitting process to determine the acoustic prescription (gain functions) that are used by an electro-acoustic hearing prosthesis to translate received sound signals into output acoustic simulation levels. More specifically, a plurality of acoustically-evoked inner ear responses are obtained from an inner ear of a recipient of an electro-acoustic hearing prosthesis. One or more input/output functions for at least one region of the inner ear are determined based on the plurality of acoustically-evoked inner ear responses and the one or more input/output functions are, in turn, used to determine one or more gain functions for use by the electro-acoustic hearing prosthesis.
