Abstract: According to an embodiment, an object detection system includes an obtaining unit, an estimating unit, a setting unit, a calculating unit, and a detecting unit. The obtaining unit is configured to obtain an image in which an object is captured. The estimating unit is configured to estimate a condition of the object. The setting unit is configured to set, in the image, a plurality of areas that have at least one of a relative positional relationship altered according to the condition and a shape altered according to the condition. The calculating unit is configured to calculate a feature value of an image covering the areas. The detecting unit is configured to compare the calculated feature value with a feature value of a predetermined registered object, and detect the registered object corresponding to the object. Abstract: A DC-DC converter includes an input terminal, multiple output terminals, an inductor, a first switch, a first condenser, a second switch and a switch controller. One end of the inductor is connected to the input terminal. The first switch is subjected to on-off control to change a current flowing through the inductor. The first condenser has one end connected between the inductor and a first output terminal, which is one of the multiple output terminals, and has the other end connected to a ground. The second switch is connected between the inductor and the first condenser. Abstract: A power semiconductor device includes trenches disposed in a first base layer of a first conductivity type at intervals to partition main and dummy cells, at a position remote from a collector layer of a second conductivity type. In the main cell, a second base layer of the second conductivity type, and an emitter layer of the first conductivity type are disposed. In the dummy cell, a buffer layer of the second conductivity type is disposed. A gate electrode is disposed, through a gate insulating film, in a trench adjacent to the main cell. A buffer resistor having an infinitely large resistance value is inserted between the buffer layer and emitter electrode. The dummy cell is provided with an inhibiting structure to reduce carriers of the second conductivity type to flow to and accumulate in the buffer layer from the collector layer.
