Abstract: A friction stir welding apparatus (100A) includes a FSW tool (1, 2, 11) that is held by a housing (3) and welds to-be-welded members (101a, 101b) to each other by friction stir, and a gradual cooling device (10, 10a) that gradually cools a weld site (S) of the to-be-welded members (101a, 101b) welded by the FSW tool (1, 2, 11).
