Abstract: A press forming method for producing a saddle type final product comprises a first process of producing an intermediate product having a processing adjustment section, by cold press working against an ultrahigh tensile strength steel plate, to deform the side wall portions and flange portions at both sides in the predetermined area, with the cross section of the top plate portion being maintained in a predetermined shape, and a second process of pressing at least the processing adjustment section, by cold press working against the intermediate product, with the cross section of the top plate portion being maintained in the predetermined shape. In at least one of the first process and second process, a processing target of the at least one process is bent in the direction opposite to the opening of the hat-shaped cross section, to produce the saddle type final product. Abstract: A floor structure of a luggage compartment of a vehicle includes a first floor covering including a first support surface, a second floor covering, and a separator including a second support surface. The second floor covering is disposed above the first support surface. The second floor covering includes a first board, a second board, and a hinge. A dimension of the second board in the front-rear direction of the vehicle is greater than that of the first board in that direction. The hinge connects a first end of the second board to a first end of the first board. The second support surface is located below and closer to a front of the vehicle than the first support surface to support a second end of the second board and to restrict the second end from sliding toward the front when the second floor covering is in a folded position. Thus, even in a transient state where the operation point of the internal combustion engine (2) is changed, since the target operation point line is traced, the fuel consumption can be improved.
