Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron generator capable of accurately adjusting an amount and energy of generated neutrons.SOLUTION: A neutron generator according to an embodiment comprises: an accelerator 3 for accelerating a charged particle beam 2a to predetermined energy; a target 5 for generating a neutron by being irradiated with a charged particle beam 2b accelerated by the accelerator 3; a high-voltage power supply 6 for applying voltage to the target 5 to adjust energy of the charged particle beam 2b incident on the target 5; a dose detector 16 for detecting a neutron dose generated by irradiating the target 5 with the charged particle beam 2b; and a voltage control device 18 for controlling a value of voltage applied to the target 5 from the high-voltage power supply 6 on the basis of the neutron dose detected by the dose detector 16.
