Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is: to enable hot water at a required temperature to be supplied, even in cases when compressor load factor is low; to suppress heat dissipation from a waste-heat recovery device; and to improve waste-heat recovery rate. A waste-heat recovery system in an oil-cooled gas compressor is provided with: a compressor main body (3); an oil separator (6); gas piping (8) which supplies, to a demanded destination compressed gas separated from oil by the oil separator; oil piping (7) which returns, to the compressor main body, the oil separated by the oil separator; and a waste-heat-recovery heat exchanger (10) which recovers heat from the compressed gas and/or the oil. The waste-heat recovery system is also provided with: a hot-water storage tank (19); circulation circuits (17, 18) in which a heat medium is made to circulate between the waste-heat recovery heat exchanger and the hot-water storage tank; a circulation pump (22) provided to these circulation circuits; and a control device (32) which, in cases when the temperature of the oil or the compressed gas subjected to heat exchange in the waste-heat-recovery heat exchanger is equal to or less than the temperature of the hot water in the hot-water storage tank, stops the circulation pump or reduces the rotational frequency of the circulation pump. Abstract: A module for adjusting a temperature of a liquid in a container can include an elongate portion sized for insertion into the container, the elongate portion having an outer surface that contacts the liquid in the container about its circumference, the elongate portion housing therein one or more heating or cooling elements operable to facilitate heat transfer between at least a portion of the elongate portion and the liquid in the container. An adaptor attached to a proximal end of the elongate portion has a rim and a circumferential wall that have an outer circumference greater than an outer circumference of the elongate portion, the adaptor defining one or more passages between the circumferential wall and the outer surface of the elongate portion. The adaptor can be coupled to an opening of the container such that the elongate portion is suspended in the container and so that at least a portion of the elongate portion is submerged in the liquid in the container. The one or more passages allow the liquid to exit the vessel while the elongate portion is disposed in the container, allowing a user to consume the liquid in the container while the module is disposed in the container. Abstract: A water holding tank for electric water heaters is described and particularly an improvement to the bottom end construction of the tank to prevent bacteria proliferation and the elimination of the cavitated circumferential area where sediments deposit to form a culture bed for bacteria to proliferate. Instead of modifying the shape of the bottom wall the improvement is a simple solution in that a filler material is set in at least a lowermost portion, and preferably a major portion, of the cavitated circumferential area to isolate that area from the interior of the water holding tank and form smooth flat surface areas which are planar to cause sediments to disperse and not form beds for bacteria to proliferate.
