Abstract: A thermosiphon system for hot water heaters. In an embodiment, the thermosiphon includes a multi-tubular structure which in an embodiment is insertable through the cold water connection in a hot water tank in order to provide for a thermosiphon action in the hot water heater, to keep water circulating and prevent temperature stratification of water in the tank. Abstract: A gas fueled water heater appliance having a temperature control switch is provided herein. The gas fueled water heater appliance may include a tank for storage of water for heating, a chamber wall, a gas burner, a valve, the temperature control switch, and a conductive probe. The chamber wall may define a combustion chamber. The gas burner may be positioned adjacent to the tank and within the combustion chamber to heat the water in the tank. The valve may control a flow of gaseous fuel to the gas burner. The temperature control switch may be in operable communication with the valve. The conductive probe may extend through the chamber wall from a first end positioned on the temperature control switch to a second end positioned within the combustion chamber. Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is: to enable hot water at a required temperature to be supplied, even in cases when compressor load factor is low; to suppress heat dissipation from a waste-heat recovery device; and to improve waste-heat recovery rate. A waste-heat recovery system in an oil-cooled gas compressor is provided with: a compressor main body (3); an oil separator (6); gas piping (8) which supplies, to a demanded destination compressed gas separated from oil by the oil separator; oil piping (7) which returns, to the compressor main body, the oil separated by the oil separator; and a waste-heat-recovery heat exchanger (10) which recovers heat from the compressed gas and/or the oil. The waste-heat recovery system is also provided with: a hot-water storage tank (19); circulation circuits (17, 18) in which a heat medium is made to circulate between the waste-heat recovery heat exchanger and the hot-water storage tank; a circulation pump (22) provided to these circulation circuits; and a control device (32) which, in cases when the temperature of the oil or the compressed gas subjected to heat exchange in the waste-heat-recovery heat exchanger is equal to or less than the temperature of the hot water in the hot-water storage tank, stops the circulation pump or reduces the rotational frequency of the circulation pump. Abstract: A water heater with two non-condensing flues and a condensing flue(s) having a system to prevent condensation in the non-condensing flue(s). The downwardly extending first flue is connected by a 180 degree connector to an upwardly extending second flue. Between the non-condensing and the condensing flues is positioned a temperature sensor. A controller receives input from the temperature sensor and is connected to the burner to control the minimum power setting and duration so as to prevent the combustion gases from falling below a temperature at which water will condense at the temperature sensor so no condensation occurs in the first two flues. Abstract: A module for adjusting a temperature of a liquid in a container can include an elongate portion sized for insertion into the container, the elongate portion having an outer surface that contacts the liquid in the container about its circumference, the elongate portion housing therein one or more heating or cooling elements operable to facilitate heat transfer between at least a portion of the elongate portion and the liquid in the container. An adaptor attached to a proximal end of the elongate portion has a rim and a circumferential wall that have an outer circumference greater than an outer circumference of the elongate portion, the adaptor defining one or more passages between the circumferential wall and the outer surface of the elongate portion. The adaptor can be coupled to an opening of the container such that the elongate portion is suspended in the container and so that at least a portion of the elongate portion is submerged in the liquid in the container. The one or more passages allow the liquid to exit the vessel while the elongate portion is disposed in the container, allowing a user to consume the liquid in the container while the module is disposed in the container.
