Abstract: Systems and methods are described that allow for determining a transaction initiation mode used to conduct a transaction and applying a specific set of rules associated with the transaction initiation mode to the transaction. A transaction authorization request message is received at a server computer. The transaction authorization message is for a transaction between a consumer and a merchant and includes a plurality of data elements. The server computer determines a transaction initiation mode, from among at least three different transaction initiation modes, used to conduct the transaction based at least in part on the data elements. The server computer applies a specific set of rules associated with the transaction initiation mode to the transaction. Systems and methods are described that allow for determining a transaction initiation mode used to conduct a transaction and applying a specific set of rules associated with the transaction initiation mode to the transaction. Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating explanations for a tax calculation or operation performed by tax preparation software is disclosed. A computing device executes a tax calculation engine in connection with the tax preparation software and operates on a tax calculation graph to perform a tax calculation. The tax calculation graph semantically describes data dependent tax operations comprising functional nodes connected to input nodes by one of a plurality of functions, wherein each tax operation is associated with one or more explanations. An explanation engine is executed to generate a narrative explanation from the one or more explanations associated with one of the tax operations and is presented to the user on the computing device. A computer-implemented method for generating explanations for a tax calculation or operation performed by tax preparation software is disclosed. A computing device executes a tax calculation engine in connection with the tax preparation software and operates on a tax calculation ...more ...less

Abstract: The RESTRICTED-USE ACCOUNT PAYMENT ADMINISTRATION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (hereinafter “RUAP”) transform purchase item information inputs or purchase receipt inputs via RUAP components into restricted-use account payment settlement outputs. A method is disclosed, including: receiving a restricted-use account reimbursement request including receipt information related to a purchase transaction from a user; obtaining purchase item information from the receipt information included in the restricted-use account reimbursement request; identifying a restricted-use account of the user; determining a purchase item is eligible for the restricted-account usage; determining a reimbursement amount associated with the purchase item form the purchase item information; generating a reimbursement authorization request message including the purchase item information and the reimbursement amount; transmitting the reimbursement authorization request message to a restricted-account issuer for approval; and transacting the reimbursement amount from the restricted-use account to a user financial account upon the restricted-account issuer approval. The RESTRICTED-USE ACCOUNT PAYMENT ADMINISTRATION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (hereinafter “RUAP”) transform purchase item information inputs or purchase receipt inputs via RUAP components into restricted-use account payment settlement outputs. Abstract: Customers of a financial institution may apply for a line of credit for use with, e.g., a web-based bill pay service. The credit line may be determined using an average value of the customer's previously direct-deposited paychecks and an analysis of the customer's spending behavior using the web-based bill pay service. In some implementations, the financial institution may aggregate data points associated with the customer to make a determination of an amount, an interest rate, and a term of the line of credit. The line of credit may be used to pay bills from a financial services institution and unrelated third-party billers with which the customer has a payment history, as well as provide for cash for use by the customer. Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for fast track routing of streaming data as between multiple compute resources. For example, the system may comprise a processor, reconfigurable logic device, a shared memory that is mapped into a kernel and user space of an operating system for the processor, a network protocol stack, and driver code for execution within the kernel space of the operating system while the operating system is in the kernel mode. The driver code can be configured to (1) maintain a kernel level interface into the network protocol stack, (2) copy the streaming data from the network protocol stack into the shared memory, wherein the copy operation is performed by the driver code without the operating system transitioning to the user mode, and (3) facilitate DMA transfers of data from the shared memory into the reconfigurable logic device for processing thereby. Systems and methods are disclosed for fast track routing of streaming data as between multiple compute resources. For example, the system may comprise a processor, reconfigurable logic device, a shared memory that is mapped into a kernel and user space of an operating system for ...more ...less

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for analyzing amounts of time spent in medical records. Time data may be analyzed by clinician, by specialty, by location, by patient, by activity, and the like. Such analysis will provide, among other things, an insight into how much total time is spent in medical records, how the time is spent, when the time is spent, etc. By breaking down the time data it may be possible to identify modifications to reduce the amount of time spent in medical records. Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for sending payment requests to one or more persons or entities based on images in which the persons or entities appear. In one example, operations may include identifying a first image associated with a payment request, the identified first image including one or more identifiers of persons, as well as identifying a second image associated with a bill, the bill including one or more line items, each line item associated with a cost. In response to a request to initiate a bill payment split, the bill is presented where at least a portion of the line items are selectable. A selection of at least one line item is received, and a selection of a particular person from the one or more identifiers of persons to be associated with the at least one line items is received. The at least one selected line item is assigned to the selected particular person. The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for sending payment requests to one or more persons or entities based on images in which the persons or entities appear.
