Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system, method, and computer-program product for protecting messaging consumers. According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for protecting messaging consumers can be provided. The method can include intercepting a message prior to arrival at a destination, comparing the message to one or more known message structures to determine the message structure, and determining if a message has a valid message structure for the destination. Intercepting a message prior to arrival at a destination may intercepts a message on a queue before the message is consumed by a consumer. Comparing the message to known message structures compares a message to message schemas, for example, XML schema, Java object definition or C structure format. The present invention is directed to a system, method, and computer-program product for protecting messaging consumers. According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for protecting messaging consumers can be provided. The method can include intercepting a message prior ...more ...less

Abstract: A communications system includes an e-mail server configured to communicate via a given e-mail protocol from among different e-mail protocols and configured to store e-mail data and generate e-mail search results. A mobile wireless communications device is configured to send an e-mail search request. An aggregation server is configured to communicate using the different e-mail protocols, and receive and forward the e-mail search request to the e-mail server using the given e-mail protocol. The aggregation server receives and forwards the e-mail search results from the e-mail server to the mobile wireless communications device. The mobile wireless communications device stores the e-mail search results in memory while displaying the e-mail search results on a search results screen on a display. The mobile wireless communications device also displays an other screen, different than the search results screen, on the display and while continuing to store the e-mail search results in the memory. A communications system includes an e-mail server configured to communicate via a given e-mail protocol from among different e-mail protocols and configured to store e-mail data and generate e-mail search results. A mobile wireless communications device is configured to send an ...more ...less

Abstract: Some embodiments comprise integrating information from a social network into a multi-tenant database system. A plurality of information from the social network is retrieved, using a processor and a network interface of a server computer in the multi-tenant database system, wherein the plurality of information is associated with a message transmitted using the social network. Metadata related to the transmitted message is generated, using the processor. A conversation object is generated, using the processor, based on the plurality of information associated with the transmitted message and the metadata related to the transmitted message. The conversation object is then stored in an entity in the multi-tenant database system, using the processor of the server computer. Some embodiments comprise integrating information from a social network into a multi-tenant database system. A plurality of information from the social network is retrieved, using a processor and a network interface of a server computer in the multi-tenant database system ...more ...less

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for selective email processing. A traffic separator includes an interface for receiving electronic mail traffic from a source network address. The traffic separator also includes a processor for comparing the source network address to a stored list of network addresses to determine a categorization of the network source address. The traffic separator also includes at least one interface for forwarding the electronic mail traffic to one of many message transfer agents (MTAs) based upon said determination. A database stores the list of network addresses. In one embodiment, one or more network addresses in the stored list are network address ranges. Disclosed is a system and method for selective email processing. A traffic separator includes an interface for receiving electronic mail traffic from a source network address. The traffic separator also includes a processor for comparing the source network address to a stored ...more ...less

Abstract: A system for prioritizing and displaying received messages, including e-mail, SMS, IM, multimedia, and voicemail, at a communication device includes means for dynamically associating a priority value with a received message upon detection of an evaluation event, and means for dynamically updating a listing of received messages associated with at least a priority value equal to or greater than a predetermined priority value in a designated priority viewport. The viewport is constantly viewable in a message listing screen and comprises a listing of prioritized messages separate and apart from non-prioritized messages. Evaluation events may include user operation such as reading, deleting, replying, moving, or forwarding the message and similar operations, or a determination that the message has reached a predetermined age. A system for prioritizing and displaying received messages, including e-mail, SMS, IM, multimedia, and voicemail, at a communication device includes means for dynamically associating a priority value with a received message upon detection of an evaluation event, and means for ...more ...less

Abstract: An IP multimedia gateway (IMG) receives content sharing service profiles generated by a service manager for communication devices that are coupled to the IMG. Content and/or content information that is received for communication to a first device, is communicated to other devices in response to a request. Content sharing profiles comprise permissions, group members, user preferences, device capabilities and security profiles. Content streams communicated to the first device may be shared with a second device based on the profiles. The second device may share additional streams with the first device. The first device or other devices may communicate the request. The content may be received from a service manager network device. The IMG and a communication device that may display the content may be integrated in a set-top-box or digital TV. Login access is enabled to devices for requesting content. Cooperation with other IMGs may enable discovery and/or content communication. An IP multimedia gateway (IMG) receives content sharing service profiles generated by a service manager for communication devices that are coupled to the IMG. Content and/or content information that is received for communication to a first device, is communicated to other ...more ...less
